Not because there is something wrong with the game, but because I have better games to play, and I am not so keen on candy sized pixels.Seriously though, there is a patch that solves most issues and makes it playable. It is easy to compare it to Heroes of Might and Magic 1, and while they are both slightly different, they both do the same thing. I didn't play past the tutorial mission so I am sure there is more to discover, but I got the basic game play down, and it is absolutely well made. I have just installed this game. i (tried to watch) a youtube video on this game. i got as far as the guy choosing his charactor and basicallyi picked up the rest of the game as i went. i still have a lot to learn and i stillhave a lot more stuff to discover. but i think i may have played this brifly when i was younger or watched a relative play it as it seems like i have seen it or played it before.it is quite easy to pick up but i would say if it is new to you then learn from your mistakes and start a new games as needed i am currently on my 3rd game as i keep learning new rules and as you use the charachtors they are limited to spaces they can move also you are unable to build more than one structure a day and if you miss enimies you can lose out of treasure,items or gold. also you will learn who to use and when and work out what faction is best to use in an form or battle. This materpiece (alongside Age of Mythology, Age of Empires, Etherlords, and Gothic 2) brings an immense surge of nostalgia whenver I play it. I was only 7 when I first bought it. Nearly 12 years later, I found it on Steam. Aside the fact the graphics are severely outdated and the compatibility with Win7 or newer versions is very thin, I still play it to remember the old days. *sobs*. Around twenty years ago there's three leaders among fantasy TBS: Heroes of Might and Magic, Age of Wonders and Disciples. All of these are beautiful gem of game design. No, really, everything in this old game is perfect. Balance is good, music is charming and atmospheric, the story is simple but catchy and the art is really cool. Also it's worth to mention AI. Despite second part, here you really have to fight, even on the easy level.Speaking in few words: You HAVE TO PLAY it!!. I used to play it alot back in the day.It's actually still very fun and I'm 21 years old.I love the idea, the storyline and the quests.10/10♥. So far it fails each time I tab to anything else..DON'T TAB.
